Ryan has been with the Vermillion Police Department since 2002 and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2006. He received a degree in Police Science and Technology from Western Iowa Tech Community College. Ryan is a certified Firearms Instructor as well as a Less-Lethal Technologies Instructor. Ryan served in the United States Army and was deployed to the Balkans and Middle East. He currently is assigned to the Patrol Division.
